The Blaj can be classified as a small town in the heart of Transylvania, but far from insignificant. As history dictates, this place has always had something special, becoming, over time, a symbol of Romanians' emancipation. The establishment of the first school with teaching in the Romanian language from Transylvania, Eminescu's stop and the stationing of Avram Iancu, the establishment of the “Holy Trinity” Cathedral, which hides one of the richest iconostases and not least, the Great Assembly from 1848, represents only a few historical points meant to reveal the true significance of this place. The especially cultural relevance of the Blaj as well as its importance can be best revealed and appreciated only by visiting it. Made up of an amalgam of historic buildings preserved precisely for the purpose of preserving this particular symbolism, the Blaj has kept its values intact, but has at the same time made various changes to modernize and maintain this place.
Thus, starting with 2020, another old building of this city has been reorganized, this time in the form of a welcoming guesthouse, from where customers can easily access all the historical objectives that Blaj encompasses. Located on the street Timotei Cipariu at number 23, the ROA pension is now a new hotel accommodation option from where guests can visit this small Transylvanian town. The air-conditioned rooms, flat-screen TV with cable channels, refrigerator, kettle, shower, hairdryer and desk are designed to guarantee the ideal comfort to offer customers the opportunity to stop in our small but great Blaj.
